GEORGIY POBEDONOSETS

The cucumber "Georgiy Pobedonosets" is a new super-early parthenocarpic hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground, under plastic covers, and in glass greenhouses. This variety is characterized by high yield and prolonged fruiting period, making it attractive for gardeners and farmers. The plant is medium-height, with female flower type and one to three female flowers per node, promoting stable fruit formation. Leaves are medium-sized and dark green, while the fruits have a cylindrical shape with white hairs and large bumps. The fruits of the cucumber "Georgiy Pobedonosets" weigh between 79 and 105 grams and measure 8.5 to 12.5 centimeters in length, with a length-to-diameter ratio of approximately 3.4:1. The fruits are dark green, slightly ribbed, with a short neck and medium hair density. They possess excellent flavor, free of bitterness, making them suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling and salting. The variety is early-maturing — from germination to the start of fruiting takes about 45-48 days. The hybrid shows high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, true powdery mildew, and olive spot, and also exhibits high tolerance to false powdery mildew. The commercial yield of the variety reaches 5.7 kg per square meter, confirming its efficiency and economic attractiveness. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, the cucumber "Georgiy Pobedonosets" is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including northern and central regions.
