Cucumber BRAVE CUCUMBER

Technical Analysis of the 'Bravy Khlopets' Cucumber Hybrid

The 'Bravy Khlopets' hybrid, developed by Euro-Semena, is a bee-pollinated variety characterized by a generative growth habit. This specific physiological structure optimizes the plant’s energy allocation toward fruit production, making it a reliable solution for both open-field cultivation and glasshouse environments.

Fruit Morphology and Productivity

The fruit reaches a length of 10–12 cm, ideal for fresh market demand and pickling. Featuring a large-tuberous surface and a color profile transitioning from light to dark green, the variety maintains excellent visual appeal and structural integrity during transport. The crop reaches maturity within 50 to 55 days post-germination, ensuring a predictable harvest schedule.

Disease Resistance and Biological Integrity

The genetic architecture of 'Bravy Khlopets' is engineered to withstand significant pathological pressure. It displays high resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora) and olive spot (Cladosporium). Furthermore, the hybrid exhibits robust defense mechanisms against mycosphaerella spot, powdery mildew, and brown spot. This integrated resistance significantly reduces the dependency on chemical fungicides, allowing for a more sustainable approach to crop management during the intensive growing season.
