Banzai F1 cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid of the Chinese hose type, intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and under plastic coverings. The period from germination to the start of fruiting is 46-50 days, allowing for a relatively quick harvest. The plants are indeterminate, strongly branching, with mixed flowering, which promotes stable and abundant fruiting.
The fruits of the Banzai cucumber have an elongated-cylindrical shape, measuring 20-40 cm in length and weighing 350-400 g. The cucumbers are bumpy, juicy, and refreshing, with a pleasant aroma and no bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption, especially in salads. Additionally, these cucumbers are suitable for pickling, though it is recommended to use them without long-term storage to preserve their flavor.
The hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching 8.5-9.5 kg per square meter. It exhibits resistance to such diseases as cladosporiosis, cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), powdery mildew (PM), and downy mildew (DM), significantly simplifying plant care and increasing harvest reliability. All these features make Banzai F1 cucumber an excellent choice for greenhouse cultivation and obtaining high-quality produce.
