Cucumber Bisan

Consistent yields even under stress

The Bisan parthenocarpic hybrid from the Dutch breeding company Nunhems is the choice for growers prioritizing reliability and consistency. Unlike many early-ripening cucumbers that lose marketability during temperature fluctuations, Bisan demonstrates high adaptability. Its vegetative plant habit allows it to vigorously develop foliage, providing natural shade for the fruits—a critical factor for success in open-field cultivation.

Key advantages

• Rapid harvest: Fruiting begins in under 40 days post-germination, enabling you to reach the market quickly with the first harvest.
• Perfect presentation: With lengths of 7–9 cm, the dark green, heavily warted fruits set the standard in the gherkin segment.
• Protective barrier: High resistance to downy mildew, combined with protection against powdery mildew and common scab, minimizes the need for heavy fungicide applications.

Who is this hybrid for?

Bisan is an ideal solution for commercial farms operating in both open fields and greenhouse tunnels. Thanks to its parthenocarpic nature, the hybrid does not require insect pollination, ensuring predictable performance in enclosed environments. If your goal is to produce firm, transport-durable cucumbers with excellent taste and no bitterness, this product from Nunhems guarantees a stable, high-quality supply throughout the entire season.
