Description ANNICA
Cucumber Annica F1 — an early parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, with predominantly female self-pollinating flowers. This hybrid features a medium-growing bush and produces cylindrical fruits 7 to 9.4 cm long, with a rich green color and fine ribbing. The fruits are dense, crisp, and free of bitterness, making them especially popular for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning. The average fruit weight is about 70-75 g, and the length-to-diameter ratio is approximately 3:1, ensuring an attractive market appearance and high transportability.

The maturation period of cucumber Annica is 40-50 days, allowing for early harvests both in open and protected ground. The hybrid demonstrates high yield — up to 4.6-5 kg per square meter or 80 tons per hectare under drip irrigation. The plant is resistant to cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, and has high tolerance to downy mildew, significantly simplifying care and enhancing yield stability. The hybrid adapts well to various soil-climate conditions, including dry and hot regions.

For cultivation, sow seeds in March–April for seedlings or in late May–early June directly into open ground when soil temperature reaches 10–15°C. Sow seeds at depths of 1.5–4 cm depending on the planting method. Seedlings are grown at 25°C until germination, then reduced to 15°C. Care includes regular weeding, loosening, and fertilization. Cucumber Annica F1 is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses, under plastic cover, and in open ground, making it a versatile choice for various conditions and purposes.
