Cucumber Zadavaka — an early-maturing parthenocarpic bush hybrid, intended for cultivation in greenhouses and plastic covers. It is distinguished by high shade tolerance and cold resistance, allowing successful cultivation under low light and cool conditions, including early spring and rainy summers. The plant is strong and robust, with limited lateral branching (3-4 internodes), which simplifies care and enhances ease of cultivation.
The fruits of cucumber Zadavaka are cylindrical, up to 10 cm long, dark green with blurred whitish stripes, covered with large bumps and black spines. They are dense, juicy, crisp, and non-bitter, making them suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling and preservation. The fruit set is clustered, forming 5-6 fruits per cluster, which contributes to high market yield, reaching up to 14.5 kg per square meter.
The hybrid exhibits resistance to sharp temperature fluctuations, root rot, and false powdery mildew, ensuring stable fruiting until frost. Due to these qualities, cucumber Zadavaka is especially recommended for regions with risky agriculture and northern territories where climatic conditions may be unfavorable for other varieties.
