Maize Jurenga

Jurenga — this super-sweet Sh2-type corn hybrid is distinguished by very long ears, over 22-25 cm in length, with conical shape and bright yellow kernels. The kernels have high sugar content, exceeding 22-23%, which gives them a unique taste and makes the hybrid especially attractive for fresh consumption and processing. The plants are vigorous, reaching up to 180 cm in height, which contributes to stable and high yields — from 30,000 to 40,000 ears per hectare when proper cultivation techniques are followed. The maturation period of Jurenga is medium-late and lasts 80-82 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various climatic conditions. The seeds are treated with the complex of preparations Maxim XL and Vitavax 200FF for protection against fungal diseases, as well as with the Radix Perfetta technology based on EM-technologies, providing protection against drought. Such treatment enhances corn’s resistance to adverse conditions, including heat and drought, and also contributes to maintaining the market appearance and good transportability of the harvest. Sowing is recommended to be carried out in soil heated to +12 degrees Celsius at a depth of 4-8 cm, ensuring optimal conditions for germination and growth. The seeding rate is 55-65 thousand seeds per hectare. Jurenga grows well after sugar beet, buckwheat, and grain legume crops, demonstrating resistance to diseases and adverse factors. Due to its characteristics and qualities, this hybrid is suitable for both fresh marketing and processing, ensuring stable and high yields with excellent taste qualities.
