The MAC 20F corn hybrid is a mid-early maturity hybrid with FAO 230, characterized by high yield and stability. Plants are medium-height, with a cream-colored kernel type and medium ear attachment height. The hybrid is characterized by adaptability and good performance under various soil-climate conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. The sum of active temperatures for flowering and maturity is 830 and 1650 °C respectively, ensuring timely harvest.
MAC 20F has high drought tolerance, confirmed by its high drought resistance rating (9 out of 10). Plants have a Stay Green type, which helps maintain green biomass and improves grain quality. The hybrid also shows good resistance to lodging (8 out of 10) and high emergence energy (6 out of 10), ensuring uniform and synchronized seed germination.
An important feature of the hybrid is its resistance to common corn diseases, including ear fusarium (6 out of 10), stalk fusarium (8 out of 10), southern rust (6 out of 10), and common rust (8 out of 10). Main yield parameters are formed through the number of rows of kernels (14-16) and number of kernels per row (32-36), with a 1000-kernel weight of 310-320 grams. The recommended planting density is 75-85 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and 70-75 thousand under unstable moisture, allowing optimized yield under different conditions.
