Description TONACHA
The hybrid corn variety TONACHA is a highly adaptable, three-row, medium-early hybrid designed for cultivation as grain or silage. The kernel type is siliceous-ridged, with a yellow-orange upper part and orange lower part. Plants exhibit early tasseling, medium to high height, and weak bushiness. Ears have medium to long length, thin and slightly conical shape, with few rows of kernels (about 12) and kernels per row (about 24). Leaves are broad, slightly curved, with a small angle between leaf blade and stem. Seeds possess good shelling properties, high protein content (about 11.35%) and starch content (about 72.69%).

The hybrid shows high spring cold tolerance and drought tolerance, ensuring stable development under various climatic conditions. The vegetation period is approximately 112 days, allowing the hybrid to be successfully used in temperate regions. Disease resistance of TONACHA is moderate: the plant is slightly affected by ear Fusarium and mold, but shows low resistance to lodging, stem and ear Fusarium rot, helminthosporiosis, and smut. Despite this, the hybrid demonstrates high shelling efficiency and dry matter yield, making it attractive for forage use.

The average grain yield of the TONACHA hybrid over several years is about 78–84 ц/га, with maximum yields reaching 137 ц/га under favorable conditions. Grain moisture at harvest is approximately 22%, facilitating subsequent processing and storage. The hybrid is registered in the State Register for the Central Chernozem region and is successfully used in agriculture to produce high-quality grain and silage with excellent forage characteristics.
