Corn Tronka F1 is a fast-maturing, high-yielding hybrid of sweet corn, characterized by a short vegetation period — from emergence to technical maturity takes 69-72 days. Plants are medium-height, reaching up to 190 cm, with broad leaf blades. The hybrid forms 2-3 evenly spaced and uniform ears per plant, which have a cylindrical shape, length of 20-22 cm, and diameter of 4-4.5 cm. Ears are large, with 14-16 rows of evenly spaced, small golden-yellow kernels, possessing excellent taste and high marketability. The weight of one ear is 220-240 g, and the yield of the hybrid reaches 14-16 tons per hectare.
Tronka F1 exhibits high resistance to common corn diseases such as rust, common rust, and bacterial rots, ensuring stable yields. For obtaining high-quality seedlings, it is recommended to sow seeds in soil with temperature not lower than 10 °C, optimal sowing depth is 4-5 cm. Seeds are sown at a spacing of 75x25 cm with a rate of 50,000 plants per hectare. For uniform germination and good germination, it is important that the soil is moist; if the soil is dry after sowing, a light watering is required.
Ears of corn Tronka F1 are widely used for fresh consumption, as well as suitable for canning and freezing. To preserve high quality and flavor, it is recommended to use kernels and ears at the milk stage. Storage of the product should be carried out under good ventilation and low temperatures, since the rate of sugar loss directly depends on storage time and temperature. The hybrid producer is a company from Ukraine, which confirms the high quality and adaptation of the variety to local conditions.
