Description Tekni
The hybrid corn Tekni KS is a simple two-line mid-early variety included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem and Lower Volga regions for grain production. The plant is of medium height with narrow leaves, medium-length and thickness ears, weakly conical, with a short stalk and medium number of rows of kernels. The kernel type is intermediate, closer to flinty, with a yellow upper part. The tassel flowering time is early, with practically absent or very weak anthocyanic coloring of the spikelet scales and base, and weak pollen. The main spike axis is higher than the upper lateral branch, which is short and forms a small angle with the lateral branches. The hybrid Tekni KS demonstrates high yield: in the Central Chernozem region, the average grain yield is 68.7 c/ha, which is 18.1 c/ha higher than the standard, and in the Lower Volga region — 32.4 c/ha, exceeding the standard by 6.7 c/ha. The hybrid is resistant to southern gummy mold, moderately affected by bacterial disease, and above average by ear fusarium. However, the plant is severely damaged by the corn borer, which should be considered when protecting crops. Tekni KS is suitable for cultivation in the specified regions due to its adaptive characteristics and stable productivity. The seeds of this hybrid are part of the hybrid corn seed assortment of the company Caussade Semences with FAO 210, indicating a mid-early maturity and good agronomic compatibility. This hybrid is recommended for obtaining high-quality grain with good yield and resistance to major diseases.
