SY HELENOR corn seeds are a high-yielding mid-maturity hybrid with FAO 300, developed by Syngenta. This hybrid features a dent kernel type and medium plasticity adaptation, ensuring stable productivity under various climatic conditions. The thousand kernel weight ranges from 240 to 296 grams, protein content varies from 9.7 to 10.6%, and starch content from 72.1 to 73.6%. Seed density reaches 700 g/l, indicating high grain quality.
SY HELENOR exhibits high resistance to drought (both aerial and soil) and spring frosts, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Polissia, forest-steppe, and north-central steppe regions of Ukraine. The hybrid shows resistance to root and stalk rots, ear mold, and other diseases, contributing to plant health and stable yields.
To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to follow optimal sowing and harvesting dates, as well as adhere to recommended planting rates depending on soil moisture levels: 40-55 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture, 55-65 thousand under unstable conditions, and 65-75 thousand under adequate moisture. Due to its rapid moisture release, grain can reduce drying costs, providing high-quality grain with high yield potential, which in 2023 reached 86 to 123 centners per hectare at 14% grain moisture.
