SATRIANI — a mid-early three-line hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) intended for silage use. The hybrid is included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem region and is characterized by high yield and raw material quality. The vegetative period is 97 days, corresponding to a mid-early maturity stage. The plant is tall with medium-width leaves, and anthocyanin pigmentation of various plant parts varies from weak to moderate, indicating its adaptability and resistance to growing conditions in the region.
The tassel of SATRIANI has an early-to-mid flowering time, with the main axis higher than the long upper lateral branch, forming a medium angle with lateral branches. Primary lateral branches are curved and long, with moderate branching. The ear is cylindrical, medium thickness and length, with a short or medium shank. The kernel is silvery, orange-colored, with strong anthocyanin pigmentation of the cob. The average yield of dry matter in the Central Chernozem region reaches 187.1 centners per hectare, which is 21.8% higher than the standard, and the maximum yield in 2019 was 279 centners per hectare. The dry matter content in the ears reaches 42.8%, also exceeding standard indicators.
The SATRIANI hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region and is suitable for other regions with similar climatic conditions. Due to its characteristics, it ensures high productivity and silage quality, making it an attractive choice for agricultural producers focused on feed production. Seeds of this hybrid are available for order with delivery across Ukraine, simplifying their acquisition and use under various agrotechnical conditions.
