Maize SAT 240 MV

Reliable Yields in Challenging Climates

The «САТ 240 МВ» hybrid by Ooo Sativa is the result of dedicated breeding work by Alexander Ignatenko and Mikhail Aglotkov. Positioned as a versatile mid-early grain corn, this hybrid is designed for farmers seeking a predictable performance. Its modified hybrid type ensures a balanced vegetative growth cycle, enabling it to thrive across varied environments while maintaining high yield potential.

Agronomic Protection and Resilience

A standout feature of «САТ 240 МВ» is its robust health profile. The selection process prioritized genetic resistance against the most detrimental threats to corn cultivation:

• Disease Resistance: Exceptional resilience against common smut, head smut, and fusarium.
• Pest Tolerance: Built-in genetic resistance against the European corn borer, reducing the need for aggressive insecticide programs.

Cultivation Insights

The hybrid produces deep yellow-orange dent-type kernels. With a maturity rating in the 90–1240 FAO range, it is optimized for high-quality grain production. To achieve maximum genetic yield, agronomists recommend adjusting the planting density based on input levels:

• Intensive cultivation: 90,000–100,000 plants per hectare.
• Standard/Arid conditions: 55,000–60,000 plants per hectare.

By focusing purely on grain utility, this hybrid provides farmers with the consistency needed for efficient harvest cycles, delivering high-quality, dry grain ready for market with minimal post-harvest processing efforts.
