Russell

Corn Russell is a medium-maturing hybrid with FAO 320, characterized by high yield up to 18 tons per hectare and rapid water release. This hybrid has dent kernels, an average of 16-18 rows per ear, and 38-42 kernels per row. Plant height ranges from 290 to 310 cm, and ear attachment height is 110-120 cm. Russell is characterized by high initial growth energy, which promotes successful adaptation and development under various agroclimatic conditions.

Hybrid Russell exhibits high resistance to stress factors and diseases. It shows high drought tolerance due to its well-developed root system and is also resistant to lodging. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high resistance to diseases such as stalk and ear fusarium, helminthosporium, and bacterial blight, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss and ensuring production stability.

Russell is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including forest-steppe, steppe, and lowland areas, and can be successfully grown even in monoculture. Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture: 75-85 thousand plants per hectare in well-watered zones and 60-70 thousand in less moist conditions. Seeds are treated with fungicides fludioxonil and metalaxyl-M, providing additional protection for plants during early growth stages. High water release during harvest reduces drying costs, making the hybrid economically advantageous for farmers.
