Barley RENI

German precision in your fields

The Reni spring barley, developed by Nordsaat Saatzucht, is a go-to variety for farmers prioritizing yield consistency and high grain quality. In actual farming conditions, this two-row barley demonstrates remarkable stability during the short vegetation period. Its high kernel weight and specific test weight make it a highly liquid commodity, ensuring better elevator premiums during harvest time.

Field performance and management

• Standability: The plant structure is well-balanced, which significantly reduces the risk of lodging, even under heavy rainfall. This simplifies the harvesting process, allowing the combine operator to maintain optimal speed and efficiency.
• Agronomic efficiency: Reni is responsive to fertilizer input without requiring excessive dosages to achieve a strong performance. It efficiently utilizes soil nutrients, making it a reliable choice for various management systems.
• Harvesting considerations: The two-row spike structure ensures uniform ripening. During threshing, the variety shows minimal loss, provided the drum speed and concave clearance are calibrated for the specific grain size. It is a grower-friendly variety that handles standard threshing settings with ease.

Choosing seeds from Nordsaat Saatzucht means opting for proven German genetics. Reni is a reliable "workhorse" that helps reduce agronomic risks and simplifies planning. By minimizing crop management surprises and maximizing grain uniformity, this variety stands out as a smart addition to any crop rotation strategy.
