ROSS 190 MV — an early-maturing corn hybrid developed jointly by the Federal State Budgetary Institution «National Grain Center named after P.P. Lukyanenko» and LLC NPO «Kuban'Zerno». The hybrid is included in the State Register since 2019 and recommended for cultivation in various regions, including Central, Volgo-Vyat, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, and West Siberian. The vegetation period is approximately 96–107 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short timeframes. Plants have medium height — from 190 to 235 cm, with cylindrical ears of medium length and thickness, as well as a high number of rows of kernels. The kernels are intermediate type, closer to dent, with yellow-orange coloring on the upper part and yellow on the lower part. The hybrid is characterized by high yield: in the Central region, average grain yield reaches 95.2 centners per hectare, which is 34.1% higher than the standard, with maximum yields up to 107.8 centners per hectare. Grain extraction rate upon threshing is 80–83%. Dry matter content in green mass is approximately 27.2%, ensuring good quality forage base. ROSS 190 MV is resistant to major corn diseases, such as stalk rot and downy mildew, and shows low susceptibility to bacterial blight and minimal damage from corn borer. The hybrid is not prone to bushiness, facilitating agronomic operations, and exhibits good resistance to lodging, cold tolerance, and drought resistance, rated at 7 points. Seeds undergo coating using biostimulants and eco-friendly paint without polymers, enhancing their quality and safety. Recommended planting density varies depending on cultivation zone: 75–80 thousand plants per hectare in forest-steppe and 50–55 thousand plants per hectare in steppe. Seed packaging is performed in paper bags of 25 kg.
