ERIK

Corn ERIK is a medium-maturing sweet corn hybrid with high agronomic performance. The plant features a strong structure and resistance to lodging, reaching an average height of 210-220 cm, with the first ear positioned at 80-90 cm. The ears are 20-21 cm long and 5.4 cm in diameter, with 16-18 rows of light-yellow kernels, each kernel 10-11 mm long. The ear husk provides good coverage, contributing to long-term storage of the harvest after harvest. The hybrid has high yield potential and is adapted to stressful conditions, making it a reliable choice for various climatic zones.

ERIK is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, thanks to its high sugar content in kernels. This makes it in demand in the agricultural industry, including for the production of sugar nectar. The hybrid demonstrates good resistance to several diseases, including southern helminthosporiosis, but is susceptible to common smut and some ear diseases such as bacterial disease and fusarium. Stem borer damage varies from moderate to high, requiring attention during crop protection.

Morphological features of corn ERIK include medium plant height and long ears with yellow-orange coloring on the upper part of the kernels and colored ear stalks. The angle between the main ear axis and lateral branches is small, with lateral branches curved and a moderate number of primary lateral branches. Silk emergence is medium-late, with moderate anthocyanin coloring. Average grain yield is approximately 96.8 centners per hectare, exceeding standard hybrids by 10 centners per hectare, confirming the high productivity of the variety.
