Maize P 8888

P 8888 — a mid-early simple corn hybrid, primarily intended for silage use. The vegetative period is approximately 95 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. Ear shape is weakly conical, length varies from medium to long, and diameter ranges from medium to thick. Grain type is intermediate, closer to dent, with yellow coloring on the upper part transitioning to orange at the lower part. Dry matter content reaches 35.7%, ensuring high-quality silage. Anthocyanin stem color varies from medium to strong, which may indicate additional plant resistance. The hybrid is characterized by high yield: regional average yields are 173.6 c/ha, with maximum yields reaching 417 c/ha. This makes P 8888 an attractive choice for farmers seeking stable and high yields. Due to its adaptability to the Central Chernozem region, the hybrid demonstrates good resistance to stress and diseases, further enhancing its reliability under various climatic conditions. P 8888 is suitable for cultivation in various soil-climatic zones, ensuring broad applicability. Its characteristics allow effective use of the hybrid for both silage and grain purposes, expanding farmers’ options. High yield, quality grain, and resistance to adverse factors make this hybrid a profitable and promising choice for modern agriculture.
