Maize NS 2020

Stable Yields in Diverse Climatic Conditions

The Serbian breeding program by Institut Za Ratarstvo I Povrtarstvo has long been recognized for producing genetics tailored for predictable and reliable field performance. The NS 2020 maize hybrid is a classic simple hybrid, engineered for producers who prioritize a balanced yield of both high-quality grain and nutritious silage.

Practical Field Application

With a maturity cycle of 120–140 days, NS 2020 provides the operational flexibility necessary for mid-to-late season harvest planning. This hybrid is well-suited for professional farming operations looking for consistency in the following areas:

• Grain production: Delivering high test weight and reliable output.
• Silage production: Offering excellent plant architecture and nutritional density for livestock feed.

Disease Resistance and Agronomic Resilience

Managing disease pressure is a major concern for corn growers. NS 2020 stands out due to its inherent resistance to gray mold (Botrytis), as well as significant tolerance to Fusarium and other stalk and ear rots. By minimizing the risk of infection during the critical ripening stages, this hybrid helps ensure crop integrity even when weather conditions are suboptimal. For the farmer, this translates into lower fungicide requirements and the assurance of a clean, high-quality harvest at the end of the season.
