Mv Luca — this is a three-line hybrid sweet corn with FAO index 280, belonging to the medium-early maturity group. Developed by the Scientific Research Institute of Agricultural Business and registered in the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine in 2023, this hybrid is intended for cultivation as grain and silage mass. Potential yield ranges from 140 to 155 centners of grain per hectare and from 580 to 690 centners of silage per hectare, making it an attractive choice for agro-industrial production. Mv Luca is characterized by low requirements for growing conditions and tolerance to low temperatures at spring sowing. The hybrid is resistant to lodging, most known corn diseases, and pests, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. Additionally, the plant does not exhibit bushiness throughout nearly its entire life cycle and possesses drought-tolerant properties, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic-territorial zones of Ukraine, including the Polissia, steppe, and forest-steppe regions. The Mv Luca corn forms large, well-filled ears, contributing to high grain productivity. Seeds are treated with modern fungicides Maxim HL and Vaybran produced by Syngenta for protection against diseases and pests. Due to its characteristics and stress resistance, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality yield.
