MAŠUK 170 MV

MAŠUK 170 MV is an early-maturing three-line hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) intended for cultivation in the Central and Volga regions, including the Republic of Tatarstan. The hybrid is characterized by its versatility: suitable for grain, silage, and grain-stalk mass production. Plants are of medium height, reaching 200–230 cm, with ears 110–120 cm long, containing 12–14 rows of kernels and 38–42 kernels per row. Ear attachment height is 70–75 cm, contributing to stem strength during vegetative growth.

The MAŠUK 170 MV hybrid exhibits high yield — in the Volga region, average grain yield is approximately 22.1 centners per hectare, reaching 6.7–9.2 tons per hectare under production conditions. Seed weight is around 285 grams per 1000 kernels. The hybrid demonstrates excellent drought and cold resistance, enabling harvest as early as late August to early September. Additionally, the plant shows high resistance to several diseases, including southern rust, rust, ear mold, corn borer, and is only slightly affected by bacterial and Fusarium ear diseases.

In terms of chemical composition, the grain contains 8.87% protein, 68.46% starch, 2.07% sugar, 4.29% fat, 1.41% fiber, and 0.96% ash. The recommended seeding rate is 70–100 thousand plants per hectare depending on growing conditions, with optimal plant density at 70–80 thousand per hectare. Due to its characteristics, MAŠUK 170 MV is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality corn yields in the Volga region.
