The hybrid corn MAS 22K, developed by the French selection company Mas Seeds, is a mid-season variety with FAO 330 and dent type grain. This hybrid is characterized by high yield and resistance to various adverse factors, including viral diseases and unfavorable climatic conditions. Due to its good frost resistance, MAS 22K is recommended for cultivation in the middle belt and southern regions of Ukraine.
MAS 22K plants have medium-high growth, and the grain features a flint-like type with 14-16 rows and 28-32 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 310 to 330 grams. Flowering occurs at a sum of active temperatures of 845 °C, and full grain maturity at 32% moisture is achieved at a sum of active temperatures of 1640 °C. For silage with 32% moisture content, a sum of active temperatures of 1470 °C is required.
The hybrid MAS 22K is versatile in use: its seeds are suitable for both grain production and for producing silage and biogas. The yield of this variety is approximately 7-8 tons per hectare, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking high productivity and reliable crops.
