Maize LG3475

Consistency in the Field: Limagrain LG3475

When selecting a hybrid, the primary focus for any operator is predictability. The French-bred LG3475 from Limagrain is a simple hybrid that offers exactly that. With a maturity window of 140-160 days and a dent-type grain, this variety is designed for farmers who need to manage both grain production and high-quality silage without constant troubleshooting.

Field Performance and Health

Maintenance of this crop is straightforward, as it doesn't require excessive intervention to handle common pathogen pressure. The plant exhibits impressive resistance to key threats:

• Helminthosporium leaf blight: Stays clean throughout the season, maximizing photosynthetic capacity.
• Fusarium ear rot: The grain remains healthy and of high quality, even if harvest is delayed by wet weather.
• Common smut: The integrity of the stalks and ears is well-maintained, which is vital for high-density silage production.

Operational Efficiency

In practice, LG3475 is an excellent "workhorse." The dent-type grain structure ensures fast moisture loss after reaching physiological maturity, which is a major advantage for reducing drying costs. For silage, it provides a high-volume yield with excellent nutritional density. Whether you are aiming for grain or forage, this hybrid performs consistently across varying soil types, making it a reliable choice for any commercial-scale operation looking to minimize risk and maximize output.
