Description Luxury
Corn LUXURY is a medium-maturing hybrid of the grain type, characterized by high yield potential and adapted for intensive cultivation. The vegetative period ranges from 90 to 110 days, allowing the hybrid to thrive under various climatic conditions. Plants exhibit low stature, and ears measuring 15–16 cm are well-filled with grain containing high starch content — 72–74%. The grain has a cream-colored, toothed type and exhibits a tendency to crack under thermal treatment, enhancing its culinary qualities. Corn LUXURY is rich in vitamins and macro- and microelements, making it a valuable product for both food and feed purposes. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to major diseases, including root and stalk rots, helminthosporiosis, and rust, as well as lodging resistance. Due to its high drought tolerance and rapid water release during ripening, LUXURY performs excellently in areas with unstable moisture. The plant requires warmth and grows better on light, fertile soils, particularly under regular irrigation and fertilization. Seedlings are sensitive to frost, so sowing is recommended when soil temperature reaches 12 °C at a depth of about 5 cm, with a seeding rate of 2–3 g per square meter. The cultivation technology for hybrid LUXURY can be conventional or with irrigation, enabling efficient utilization of its potential under various agronomic conditions. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in forest-steppe and Polissia regions and is adapted to sandy soils. It is recommended for early sowing at temperatures between +8 to +10 °C. Due to its characteristics, corn LUXURY is a high-profitability choice for both extensive and medium-intensive production systems.
