SY Novatop

SY NOVATOP — a mid-early maize hybrid with a FAO number of 240, developed by Syngenta. This hybrid belongs to the intensive type and is intended for grain and silage production. The grain is cream-colored, toothed, with high starch content (72-74%), ensuring excellent technological properties. SY NOVATOP stands out for its high yield, especially on fertile soils and under intensive cultivation, making it one of the leaders in yield within its category.

The plants of this hybrid have the Stay Green type, which helps maintain green mass for a longer period and ensures high-quality feed for livestock. The hybrid demonstrates rapid moisture release during ripening, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. SY NOVATOP exhibits high drought, frost, and lodging resistance, as well as tolerance to major maize diseases, including common rust, stalk and root rot, and helminthosporiosis.

Recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-steppe zones of Ukraine, where it shows the best results when planted at early optimal dates. The recommended plant population at harvest time is 75–85 thousand plants per hectare in Polissia and 60–70 thousand plants per hectare in the Forest-steppe.
