LG 31225 — an early-maturing silage corn hybrid, distinguished by high resistance to cool spring temperatures and adapted for cultivation in regions with limited heat and short growing seasons. This hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group and has a flinty-milky kernel type, making it suitable for both silage and grain use. Plants reach an average height of about 260 cm, and ears contain an average of 14-16 rows with 28-30 kernels per row.
The LG 31225 hybrid exhibits high productivity potential and yield stability. It features the Stay Green plant type, which helps maintain green mass and improves silage quality. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions: in well-watered areas — 80–90 thousand plants per hectare, in less watered areas — 65–75 thousand plants per hectare. To achieve optimal maturity, a sum of effective temperatures from +6 to +30°C is required: 1475°C for silage and 1740°C for grain.
The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to major corn diseases, including common and downy mildew, and ear fusarium, with resistance ratings of 7-8. Additionally, LG 31225 shows high drought and lodging tolerance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Recommended growing regions include the Brest, Gomel, Vitebsk, and Minsk regions.
