Corn KWS 2323 is a mid-early hybrid of the grain type with high adaptability to various climatic conditions and cultivation technologies. This hybrid is characterized by intensive growth at the beginning of the vegetation period and high cold resistance, allowing its use for early sowing. Due to rapid water release through ear opening during full maturity, KWS 2323 ensures effective grain maturation even under adverse weather conditions.
Hybrid KWS 2323 is characterized by high frost resistance, which is especially important for regions with cool spring climates, such as Polissia. In addition, it exhibits resistance to powdery mildew, helminthosporiosis, lodging, as well as high temperatures and drought. The height of the mature plant reaches 290-300 cm, and the ear attachment height is 100-110 cm. The 1000-grain weight varies within the range of 300-320 grams, indicating good harvest quality.
To achieve maximum yield, which can reach 15 tons per hectare, intensive cultivation technology with mandatory soil fertilization before sowing is recommended. The vegetative period allows treatment with compatible herbicides without risk of reducing grain quality. The optimal planting density depends on soil moisture levels: under adequate moisture, 80-90 thousand plants per hectare are recommended; under insufficient moisture — 65-70 thousand. Corn KWS 2323 is suitable for cultivation throughout Ukraine, with optimal results in Polissia and Steppe.
