KUBANKA M — this is an early-maturing simple hybrid of sweet corn, intended for fresh consumption, canning, and freezing. The period from emergence to technical maturity is 70-75 days, allowing for a quick harvest. Plants reach a height of 180-200 cm, and ears have a length of 16-20 cm, a weakly conical shape with a well-formed tip and a weight of about 230 g. The kernels are large, yellow, with a thin hull and tender consistency, ensuring high taste quality. The hybrid is characterized by high yield and drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. Kernel type is intermediate, closer to starchy, with yellow coloring of both upper and lower parts. Average grain yield in central regions reaches 81.5 c/ha, with maximum yield at 83.7 c/ha. Corn is well-adapted for cultivation in various regions, including Central, Volga-Vyatka, and East Siberian. For successful cultivation, seed at soil temperature of 10-12°C to a planting depth of 10-12 cm. At the 3-4 leaf stage, thinning to two plants per hill is recommended. Application of superphosphate at planting and mineral fertilizer applications 1-2 times per season contribute to increased yield. Before tassel formation, plants are hilled up, and suckers from lower leaves are removed when 5 cm in size.
