Description Kolibris
The Kolibris corn hybrid is a versatile plant adapted to various soil-climate conditions, including the forest-steppe and Polissia zones, as well as regions bordering the steppe zone. It features vigorous growth with plant heights of 330-340 cm and ear attachment height of 120-130 cm. Kolibris has a dent type of large kernels with high mass, contributing to high potential yields of both grain and green mass. Due to its rapid moisture release, the kernels require less drying time, enhancing harvest efficiency.

One of the key features of this hybrid is its remontancy — the ability to maintain green leafy mass with high moisture content even during ripening. This quality is especially important for silage production, as it ensures maximum accumulation of dry matter and high-quality feed. Remontancy also increases stem resistance to lodging and reduces plant breakage during the harvest period, making Kolibris a reliable choice for late and winter harvests. The plant's leaves have a vertical (erectoid) orientation, improving light utilization and allowing seeding rates to be increased to 80-85 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture.

The hybrid demonstrates high drought resistance, including both soil and air drought, expanding its cultivation potential across various climatic conditions. Kolibris is also resistant to common diseases such as common rust and helminthosporium. Thanks to its developed compensatory ability under dense planting, it forms heavier kernels with increased kernel numbers per row, contributing to stable yields. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 17.0 t/ha, confirmed by demo plantings.
