KD 75

KD 75 — a mid-season hybrid of sweet corn, intended for cultivation for grain and silage. It is characterized by high yield and excellent adaptability to various soil-climate conditions in Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. Plants reach a height of 240–270 cm, with a strong root system and sturdy stems, ensuring resistance to lodging and stress factors. The ear has a length of 22–24 cm and a diameter of 4.5–5.0 cm, contains 16–18 rows of dent kernels, with 36–43 kernels per row, and a 1000-kernel weight ranging from 270 to 380 g. The grain is yellow, with a high starch content — approximately 76.8%.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases, such as helminthosporiosis, fusarium, and rust, as well as drought and lodging. Disease and stress resistance ratings are high, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. KD 75 demonstrates plasticity and stability, performing well under intensive cultivation technologies, as well as traditional and minimum soil tillage.

The recommended planting density depends on the level of water availability: 70–75 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, and 55–60 thousand under insufficient moisture. The hybrid has high genetic similarity to MONSANTO DKS-3511 and reveals its full potential with proper agronomic practices. Thanks to its leaf arrangement type and remontant growth pattern, KD 75 ensures enhanced photosynthetic efficiency and stable maturation, making it an advantageous choice for farmers focused on high productivity and grain quality.
