Maize PRC 16 VI

Stable Yields in Changing Climates

Choosing the PRC 16 VI corn hybrid from the French breeding company Limagrain is a strategic decision for farmers focused on predictable results within a mid-early maturation timeframe. This hybrid demonstrates excellent adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions, serving as a reliable tool for risk management throughout the planting season.

Agronomic Features and Potential

The flint type of grain with its vibrant yellow-orange hue is more than just an aesthetic feature; it is a key indicator of high energy value and industrial suitability. This grain type is resistant to mechanical damage during harvesting and storage, which is critical for farms with their own processing facilities.

• Flexibility in Harvesting: The mid-early vegetation period allows for optimal planning of field operations, ensuring harvest completion within the best agrotechnical windows and minimizing losses from autumn temperature fluctuations.
• Stress Tolerance: Limagrain genetics imbue the PRC 16 VI with strong resistance to lodging and major crop diseases, significantly simplifying crop management during the growing season.
• Versatility: Thanks to its balanced composition, this hybrid delivers stable performance whether grown for grain or as part of the forage base for livestock operations.

Practical application of the PRC 16 VI shows that it efficiently utilizes available moisture in the early growth stages by developing a robust root system. This allows the crop to maintain productivity longer even during short-term drought events in the first half of the summer. For a farmer, this means reduced reliance on precipitation intensity and more reliable achievement of targeted yields.
