Corn GW2063

Adaptability and Field Performance of GU2063

The 2024 novelty from the Bulgarian breeding company Golden West Seed Bulgaria Ltd. is an intensive corn hybrid designed to perform across a wide range of conditions. Officially registered for the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya zones, this hybrid demonstrates high plasticity, which is critical for farmers operating in volatile climates.

Response to Stress Factors

A key feature of GU2063 is its ability to maintain productivity under moisture deficit. In Steppe conditions, the hybrid shows commendable drought tolerance, achieved through balanced root system development and efficient soil resource utilization. The plant exhibits high tolerance to temperature fluctuations, minimizing risks during early sowing in the Polissya region.

Resistance to Lodging and Pathogens

The F1 genetics provide the hybrid with a sturdy stalk that successfully resists lodging even under strong wind loads at the end of the growing season. This allows for harvest planning without fear of yield losses due to stalk breakage. The hybrid's phytosanitary profile meets modern requirements: breeding is focused on minimizing susceptibility to major corn diseases, which reduces the need for additional fungicide treatments and increases production profitability.
