Golden Ear 170 MV — an early-maturing three-row corn hybrid with high cold and drought resistance. This versatile hybrid is suitable for grain and silage purposes. The grain type is closer to dent, and the ears have a weakly conical shape. The recommended planting density is 75–80 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and no more than 60 thousand in dry conditions. Grain yield reaches 82%, ensuring high crop productivity. Ears are cylindrical, 16–20 cm long, weighing about 200 grams. The kernels are orange-yellow, and in milk-wax maturity, they exhibit good taste qualities and high vitamin, macro-, and microelement content. Due to these characteristics, the hybrid is ideal for table consumption and canning. Sowing is recommended in April–May to a depth of about 4 cm with row spacing of 70×50 cm, and harvest can be conducted from June to September. The hybrid is resistant to common smut, downy mildew, and ear diseases, contributing to stable yields. It is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central Chernozem, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, West Siberian, and Far Eastern regions. Average yield in the Northwestern region is about 104.6 centners per hectare, confirming its high adaptability and productivity.
