Description Garrido
Garrido is a medium-early grain maize variety with FAO maturity group 220, recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions. Registered in 2016, this variety belongs to Saatbau Linz. Garrido is intended for grain production and is adapted to the climatic conditions of the aforementioned regions, making it a suitable choice for farmers aiming for stable yields in medium-early maturity periods.

In addition to the Garrido variety, the Ukrainian market offers maize hybrids with later maturity and improved agronomic traits. For example, the hybrid DMС Grono (FAO 260), developed by MAIS, is also recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Polissia regions. This medium-early hybrid is non-GMO and intended for spring sowing, providing flexibility in agronomic practices.

The hybrid Grace from MAIS (FAO 280) deserves special attention. It is classified as medium-early and features high yield potential up to 145 ц/ha. Grace exhibits high drought tolerance, good water release during ripening, and resistance to major diseases and stress factors such as Fusarium, rust, and corn borer. Plant height reaches 270-280 cm, and grain yield at harvest is 83-85%. These characteristics make Grace an optimal choice for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine, ensuring stable and high yields even under challenging climatic conditions.
