Maize LG30308

Stable silage with premium nutritional value

Limagrain’s French breeding program is a benchmark in the forage industry. The LG30308 hybrid is a precision solution for farms focused on maximizing energy yields per hectare. Its flint-dent grain type provides exceptional starch digestibility, a critical factor for maintaining high productivity in dairy herds.

Agronomic Strengths

The core advantage of LG30308 lies in its robust disease resistance profile. Even in high-humidity seasons, when other hybrids struggle, this variety maintains strong resistance to common smut. Furthermore, Limagrain’s genetics provide effective defense against fusarium and stalk rot, ensuring the green mass remains healthy and nutrient-dense until harvest time.

Cultivation Guidelines

With a maturity window of 120-140 days, this medium-late hybrid requires careful scheduling during the harvest campaign. Optimal performance depends on adapting plant density to the specific field conditions:

• In high-fertility, irrigated, or well-moistened soils, a density of 70,000–75,000 plants/ha is recommended.
• In areas with limited water availability or lower-quality soil, a reduced density of 60,000–65,000 plants/ha is advisable to prevent nutrient and water competition.

LG30308 is the choice for professionals who refuse to compromise between high silage yield and superior feed quality.
