Maize Helvin 387 MV

Optimizing Silage Yield for Livestock Productivity

Gelvin 387 MV is a specialized maize hybrid developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAS of Ukraine, specifically engineered to meet the demands of commercial livestock farming. Its primary value lies in its high-volume biomass production and favorable forage quality metrics. By focusing on silage production, this hybrid provides an efficient way to stock essential nutrients, including fiber and fermentable sugars, which are vital for maintaining high livestock performance.

Key Operational Advantages

• Dedicated Silage Use: The hybrid is genetically tailored to maximize green mass harvest. It exhibits vigorous early-season growth and steady accumulation of dry matter throughout the vegetation cycle.
• Regional Adaptation: Having been developed in Ukraine, the hybrid offers superior resilience to local climatic variability, ensuring consistent results across different regional moisture profiles and soil types.
• Harvest Efficiency: Consistent maturation patterns allow farm managers to streamline logistics and coordinate harvesting machinery, ensuring that silage is ensiled at the peak of its nutritional profile.

For operations aiming to balance high nutritional intake with input cost-efficiency, Gelvin 387 MV serves as a reliable building block for forage systems. It performs exceptionally well under intensive cultivation practices, making it a robust choice for growers looking to maximize yield per hectare for their feedlots or dairy operations.
