Maize Seddi CS

French genetics in the field: operating the Seiddi CS hybrid

When working with Caussade Semences hybrids, you immediately notice the predictability of the result. Seiddi CS is a reliable workhorse that meets farm requirements for both grain and silage production. Its three-way hybrid structure provides that extra peace of mind needed during unpredictable weather patterns.

Agronomic resilience

Fusarium, Helminthosporium, and other common corn threats rarely impact the crop. For an agronomist, this translates to lower costs for fungicide applications and no unpleasant surprises during the harvest season when time is money.

Field performance

• Grain type (flint-dent): provides an ideal balance between grain moisture loss speed and high-quality nutrient content for silage.
• Versatility: if a season turns difficult and grain production becomes risky, Seiddi CS performs excellently as silage, ensuring high feed value.
• FAO stability: the FAO 90–1240 range makes this hybrid a flexible tool in any crop rotation, allowing for efficient planning of planting and harvesting dates.

Maintaining this crop is straightforward and does not require complex management. It has an excellent emergence rate and forms a sturdy stalk that holds up well even if harvest is delayed. The bottom line is a consistent yield that isn't lost to disease or adverse environmental factors.
