Description Orielskyi 357 SV
Corn hybrid Orielskyi 357 SV is a medium-early hybrid with FAO 320-350, developed by the Institute of Steppe Zone Agriculture of NAAN Ukraine and the company OLEON Genetics. This hybrid is characterized by high resistance to diseases and stress factors, including drought, ensuring a stable yield under various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of about 260 cm, with an ear length of 20-25 cm, 16-18 rows of kernels, and more than 36 kernels per row. The grain is dent-shaped, with a 1000-kernel weight of 320-330 g, containing approximately 9% protein and 74% starch, making it suitable for both grain and silage use. The hybrid Orielskyi 357 SV exhibits high yield potential: up to 15.5 t/ha of grain and up to 85 t/ha of silage. The recommended planting density varies by region — from 60,000 to 85,000 plants per hectare — promoting optimal growth and maximum yield. The ear attachment height is 100-105 cm, facilitating harvesting and reducing losses. Due to its weak anthocyanin pigmentation of aerial roots and ear husks, the hybrid shows good resistance to lodging (9 points), as well as to diseases such as blister rust, helminthosporium, root and stalk rot, rust, and fusarium. Orielskyi 357 SV is suitable for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. Its high cold resistance and resistance to pests (8 points) ensure reliability and stable yields even under adverse conditions. The hybrid is recommended for farmers seeking high-quality grain and silage with maximum productivity and minimal risk of losses.
