The ESTEVIO hybrid sweet corn is a high-yielding and adapted variety, characterized by stability and high resistance to lodging. It is particularly well-suited for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Northern Steppe. Due to its silicified-toothed kernel type and Ukrainian origin, this hybrid demonstrates excellent yield performance even under drought conditions, confirmed by high drought resistance and efficient water release.
ESTEVIO has a powerful root system that allows maximum nutrient uptake area, contributing to its high compensatory ability. The hybrid is tolerant to major corn diseases such as stalk fusarium, helminthosporium, blister, and aerial smut, ensuring reliable protection and stable yields. For protection and care, it is recommended to apply post-emergence herbicides containingnicosulfuron, 2,4-D, florasulam, and rimsulfuron, as well as insecticides based on imidacloprid and lambda-cyhalothrin during the 3-5 leaf stage.
For optimal plant development, it is recommended to apply microfertilizers during the 3-5 leaf stage, such as domestic producer "Yarilo" "Corn" or similar formulations. Seeding rates depend on soil moisture: under adequate moisture, the optimal density is 75–80 thousand plants per hectare; under insufficient moisture, 65–70 thousand. The hybrid is supplied in bags of 80,000 seeds, treated with RedigoM, Alios, and Poncho, ensuring high ear growth energy and promoting successful crop development.
