Maize Eskudo

Genetic Architecture of the «Escudo» Hybrid

Developed by the «Uni Korn» breeding center with the direct participation of originator Myroslav Fedorovych Parii, the «Escudo» corn hybrid represents the culmination of focused research on crop adaptability within the Ukrainian climatic context. The technical value of this genetic material lies in its balanced combination of high yield potential and resilience to environmental stressors.

Agrotechnical Indicators and Morphology

A key feature of «Escudo» is its vigorous early growth, which is critical for early-season planting in cooler soils. The internal architecture of the hybrid is optimized for maximum moisture efficiency during the crop's critical growth stages. The root system features an advanced branching structure, ensuring stable nutrient uptake even when soil-available nutrients are limited.

• Hybrid type: grain-oriented with rapid dry-down characteristics at maturity.
• Adaptability: «Uni Korn» breeding focuses on the specific soil and climatic zones of Ukraine, mitigating risks during extreme temperature fluctuations.
• Breeder control: Myroslav Parii's involvement ensures strict adherence to advanced seed production technologies, protected by patents held by LLC «UNI KORN».

The practical advantage of integrating «Escudo» into crop rotation is the ability to achieve stable total grain yields with moderate mineral fertilizer input, driven by a high photosynthetic efficiency of the plant's leaf canopy.
