Maize ES YAKARI

Stable yields with minimal risks

When working with EC Yakari from Euralis Semences, agronomists often highlight its predictability. This simple hybrid is a classic choice for grain-oriented production. Its flint-dent grain type handles moisture release efficiently, which significantly simplifies post-harvest processing. In current seasonal conditions, the hybrid has proven itself as a reliable performer with excellent potential.

Agronomy and Protection

Euralis Semences' French breeding program traditionally focuses on the crop's phytosanitary status. EC Yakari shows strong resistance to key pathogens that typically plague corn fields: Helminthosporium, Fusarium, and boil smut. This effectively minimizes the need for expensive fungicide applications during critical growth phases.

• Vegetation period: 120–140 days, requiring careful planning of sowing dates.
• FAO: 90–1240, providing a wide range for adaptation across different climatic zones.
• Recommended density: 60,000 to 75,000 plants per hectare, depending on moisture availability and soil type.

Practical tip: In high-moisture areas, it is recommended to aim for the higher density of 75,000 plants per hectare to maximize cob potential. In drier conditions, decreasing the density to 60,000 helps reduce competition for soil moisture. While the hybrid is somewhat forgiving regarding minor technical slips, it delivers consistently high yields when sown at optimal times and supported by balanced fertilization.
