EG 2165 is a mid-season sh2 type corn hybrid with a vegetative period of 82-84 days. This hybrid is intended for main planting and is widely used for both fresh market and processing. The plant is characterized by medium height and medium leaf width, with early-to-medium tasseling. The ear is long and weakly conical, with a short stalk and a small number of rows of kernels — 18-20 rows. The kernels are silvery, bright yellow-orange in color, with sugar content exceeding 24%, which enhances its taste qualities and makes it attractive to consumers. The plant exhibits high resistance to diseases and can withstand slight drought, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is anthocyanin pigmentation, which is weakly expressed on the sheath of the first leaf and roots, but strongly expressed on the spikelet scales. The leaves are straight with a small angle between the blade and stem, and the tassel has a compact structure with low main axis height and few lateral branches. To achieve maximum productivity, a seeding rate of approximately 20,000 seeds per 30 ares is recommended.
