Ji V 8002 — a medium-maturing hybrid of sweet super-sweet corn type sh2, intended for cultivation for fresh market and processing. The vegetation period is 82 days, allowing it to be grown in open ground throughout the season with mechanized harvesting. The plant is compact but has a strong root system and high resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yield under various conditions. Ears reach up to 25 cm in length and 5.5 cm in diameter, kernels are bright yellow, kernel depth is 13-14 mm, rows number 18. Sugar content (Brix) is at the level of 12-13, guaranteeing high taste quality of the product. The hybrid shows high adaptability to growing conditions and resistance to adverse factors. It has high cold resistance and stress tolerance, as well as high resistance to maize mosaic virus. Moreover, Ji V 8002 demonstrates moderate resistance to leaf gnomosis, rust, and southern spot. The hybrid is also resistant to herbicides containing mesotrione and tembotrione, which facilitates crop care and reduces the risk of plant damage when using protective agents. For protection of corn crops from insect pests, the use of insecticides is recommended, which effectively combat wireworms, aphids, winter moth, stalk borer, and other pests. These agents have systemic action, blocking nerve impulse transmission in insects and causing their death.
