Ecodar 240

Corn 'Ecodar 240' is a mid-early hybrid with maturity group FAO 240, developed by the private joint-stock company 'ECO-PROD' and registered in the Ukrainian plant variety registry since 2021. Recommended cultivation zones include Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. The hybrid is intended for grain and silage production, features a dent kernel type, and forms a large, multi-row ear with high yield potential.

'Ecodar 240' exhibits high adaptability and resistance to adverse conditions. It demonstrates rapid grain moisture shedding, facilitating harvesting, and enhanced photosynthetic efficiency due to an erect leaf arrangement. The hybrid has high feed value with starch content in the grain ranging from 72-74%. Additionally, it is resistant to root and stalk rot, powdery mildew, and shows stable cold and drought tolerance, ensuring good early growth rate.

For sowing 'Ecodar 240', early planting is recommended at soil temperatures of 6-8 °C. The hybrid can be grown as a monoculture and is optimally harvested within recommended timeframes. Recommended planting density varies by region: 60-70 thousand plants per hectare in Forest-Steppe and Northern Steppe, up to 70-80 thousand/ha in Polissia, and 45-55 thousand/ha in Southern Steppe. This approach ensures maximum productivity and grain quality.
