Maize Elitnyanskyy

Focus on Grain Productivity

The «Elitnyansky» maize hybrid, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is a reliable asset for farms focused on commercial grain production. In the context of Ukrainian agriculture, it is chosen for its predictable results and operational flexibility. As a simple hybrid, it ensures high uniformity of crops, which is critical during harvest: uniform maturation significantly reduces grain loss during threshing.

Practical Application and Agrotechnics

The primary niche for this hybrid is intensive farming. Thanks to its genetic resistance to Fusarium and Helminthosporium, «Elitnyansky» helps reduce the need for excessive fungicide applications, positively impacting the cost of production per ton. Agronomists often select it for fields with high disease pressure, where other hybrids would require additional chemical protection.

• Grain-Oriented: The hybrid is designed to produce high-quality commercial grain with excellent moisture release, reducing drying costs after harvest.
• Disease Resistance: Comprehensive tolerance to stalk and ear rots makes it a robust choice for regions with humid climates or for farms utilizing minimal tillage systems.
• Simple Hybrid Uniformity: Consistent plant development ensures stable performance of combine headers, which is essential for meeting tight harvest schedules.

The optimal strategy for using «Elitnyansky» involves intensive management techniques, adhering to the planting density recommended by the originator for specific moisture zones. This ensures the full potential of the cob is realized, maximizing grain yield per hectare.
