The MAS 308A corn hybrid is a medium-maturing, simple, two-line hybrid included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region for grain cultivation. The plant is tall with broad, medium-length leaves; the ear is cylindrical, of medium diameter and length, with a long stalk. The grain is dent-shaped, colored in orange-yellow tones, characteristic of this variety. The vegetation period is approximately 112 days, which is several days shorter than the standard period, enabling the hybrid to successfully adapt to the regional climatic conditions. MAS 308A is distinguished by high yield: the average grain yield in the region is 55.3 c/ha, 14.4% higher than standard indicators, with a maximum yield reaching 79.9 c/ha. The grain moisture at harvest is at 19.7%, lower than the standard, facilitating subsequent processing and storage. The hybrid exhibits medium kernel density and weak anthocyanin pigmentation of various plant parts, indicating its resistance and adaptability. The hybrid selection was conducted by Mas Seeds in France, ensuring high seed quality and compliance with modern agronomic requirements. The grain type is dent-shaped, providing good technological suitability for grain use. MAS 308A is suitable for cultivation in the North Caucasus region, demonstrating stable yield and adaptation to local climatic conditions.
