The DKC 4490 hybrid sweet corn is a mid-season variety with FAO maturity group 370, intended for grain, silage production, as well as for bioethanol and biogas production. Plants reach a height of 220-240 cm, have a dent-type kernel with starch content exceeding 72%. The 1000-kernel weight varies from 280 to 350 grams, and the ear has 16-20 rows with 38-41 kernels per row. The hybrid demonstrates high yield and rapid moisture loss during maturation, facilitating efficient harvest.

DKC 4490 exhibits high resistance to various stress factors and diseases. It has a strong root system and sturdy stem, ensuring excellent resistance to lodging and damage. The hybrid is resistant to drought, helminthosporiosis, head smut, fusarium, and powdery mildew, making it a reliable choice for various soil-climatic conditions.
