The DKC4040 corn hybrid is a mid-season variety with FAO 310, intended for grain and silage production. The grain is dent-type, providing a high starch content exceeding 72%. Plants reach a height of 220-235 cm, with 14-16 rows of kernels, each row containing 35 to 42 kernels. The 1000-kernel weight varies from 280 to 350 grams, indicating high hybrid yield.

DKC4040 demonstrates high adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions and is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. The hybrid is drought-resistant with a resistance rating of 9 out of 10, and also exhibits high resistance to lodging and major corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis, smut, and fusarium, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions.

Recommended planting density depends on soil moisture levels: 75-85 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, and 65-75 thousand under insufficient moisture. The hybrid features a strong root system and rapid water release, promoting efficient resource use and enhancing drought tolerance. The package contains 80 thousand seeds, convenient for large-scale agricultural production.
