Desimo — a high-yielding, mid-early generation hybrid of sweet corn, developed by the Institute of Grain Husbandry of NAAN of Ukraine and produced by the company Rost Agro. This hybrid is distinguished by its high drought, heat, and cold resistance, allowing it to be successfully grown in various climatic zones, including Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe regions. The vegetation period lasts 111–117 days, and the plant height reaches 230–240 cm with an ear positioned at 85–95 cm. The corn kernels of Desimo are yellow-orange and characterized by a high grain yield — up to 82%. Protein content varies from 8.9% to 10.2%, and starch content ranges from 71.5% to 72.6%. The 1000-kernel weight is 270–290 grams, indicating large and high-quality seeds. The hybrid is resistant to diseases and pests, further enhancing its technological efficiency and reliability in cultivation. Seed treatment with fungicides Maxim XL and Vibran 500 FS is recommended. Desimo is intended for grain production and has a yield potential of up to 14 tons per hectare. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, this hybrid is an excellent choice for farmers aiming to obtain a high and stable yield of sweet corn with good technological properties.
